Our Teachers

At Juan Sisay, all of our teachers are university students or graduates. Every teacher has taken a course in Spanish as a Second Language, passed an exam, and become a certifified instructor.

We pride ourselves on the group of teachers we have assembled. Our teachers range from youthful university students, to seasoned veterans. If you would be more comfortable chatting about culture and politics with an older, experienced teacher, or talking about the sports and music with a teacher your age, we can suit your needs.

And though we believe our friendly teachers are the core of our community, we also uphold the highest level of professionalism. Since 1989, Juan Sisay has been perfecting its methods and getting the best out of its students, so while outside the classroom teachers and students may share a beer or play a game of soccer, class time is never wasted.

We are happy to allow students to change teachers and see what works best for them. If at any time, a student is unhappy with his or her teacher, we can arrange another match.
